How to Delete the History, Temporary Files and Cookies from Netscape

Select which version of Netscape that you are using:
 (Click on Help and About tell which)

Navigator 3.x or Communicator 4.x

Navigator 3.x

To clear your browser cache:

• Select "Options | Network Preferences..." from the main menu

• Change to the "Cache" tab

• Click on "Clear Memory Cache Now" and "Clear Disk Cache Now" buttons to clear memory and disk cache

To clear your browser history:

• Open the Edit menu and click on Preferences

• Highlight Navigator in the list of categories on the left

• In the 'History' panel on the right, click on the Clear History button

To delete your cookies:

• Open up "My Computer" and open your C Drive

• Go to Program Files\Netscape\Users\default (or your name)

• Delete the file cookie.txt

Communicator 4.x

To clear your browser cache:

• Select "Edit | Preferences..." from the main menu

• Change to the "Advanced | Cache" section

• Click on "Clear Memory Cache" and "Clear Disk Cache" buttons to clear memory and disk cache

To clear your browser history:

• Go to Communicator Menu 

• Go to History and a screen will appear 

• Select the file you want to delete, right click and delete

To delete your cookies:

• Open up "My Computer" and open your C Drive

• Go to Program Files\Netscape Communicator\Users\your_username

• Delete the file cookie.txt
