How to edit your FrontPage website from a remote location

 

 If you want to edit your website from your home PC that has FrontPage installed just follow the following instructions:

1) Open your website in your browser. In other words ... surf to it.

2) After your page is open select File : Edit with FrontPage from the menu.

3) Enter your login name and password.

4) Make your changes to the web page and hit save.

5) Your done. Open your website in your browser again and hit refresh.

Part 2

Now that you've made changes from home you need to synchronize them with the saved pages on your hard drive at work. To do this follow these steps on your office machine:

1) Open your website in your browser. In other words ... surf to it.

2) After your page is open select File : Edit with FrontPage from the menu.

3) Enter your login name and password.

4) Select File : Publish Web

5) Browser to the location on your hard drive where your web is stored.

6) Hit the Publish button

7) Your done. This should transfer the live copy of your website to your hard drive.

This is also a good means of backing up your website to a different location.
